Day 21
- We tested our 2011 robot to make sure everything was working so we can do a demonstration tomorrow
- We updated the sponsors page on our website
- We repaired all of our batteries and now they have orange and blue electrical tape on them :D
- We cleaned off our back table so we can start assembling the robot
- We welded part of our frame
- We worked on milling our mecanum wheel mount plates and are about half way done
- We turned our outer shooter hubs down some more on the lathe
- We wrote the newsletter and will send out the newsletter in the morning
- We inventoried our Jaguars and found out we have way too many - a very good thing
- We tested our distance sensor and found it was very accurate
Main Achievement:We cut the metal for our ball elevator and milled it. Now our ball elevator is complete!
Day 20
- We received a donation of $200 from Mechanical Systems, so we would like to thank them for that.
- We finished making the inner support pieces for our frame
- We finished the wheel spacers.
- Welded more of our frame.
- We broke one mill but its alright because we fixed it
- We fixed the vice on our other mill
- Glued more bottle caps.
- We started turning our motor side outer shooter hub on the lathe.
- We figured out which motor we want to use for the ball collector.
- We cut out even more metal for more of our frame so we can attach our idler wheels.
- Programmers made the backboard tracking even better and faster!
- Animators finished some animation segments and it is looking awesome! They also worked on more props for the animation
Main Achievement: We did a kinetic energy analysis on the ball collector, rollers, belts, and pulleys
Day 19
- We received our mecanum wheels, 3 new CIM motors, and our new camera!
- We put together all of our mecanum wheels.
- We glued more pin backs onto our buttons.
- We worked on turning down our center shooter hub on the lathe.
- We worked more on our frame support and will finish those tomorrow.
- We welded together our wheel spacers and will finish drilling holes tomorrow so we can weld the frame.
- Animators made some more schools so now they have 3 different schools from 3 different countries!
Main Achievement:Programmers hooked up the new camera and they improved their PID(Position Integral Derivative) for the image tracking.
Day 15
- We finished our application for free promotional items from the cause to promote program
- We finished drilling all the holes in our bottle caps
- We finished cutting up all the bottle caps and our thank you cards
- We started gluing the pin backs on the bottle caps and glued almost 100!
- We started making our CRUSH can hair accessories
- We ordered our wheels, motors, hubs, transmissions, and longer shafts as well as the spring for our basketball hoops
- The Programmers worked on more networking and got closer to the solution!
- The Animators animated a school for this years animation!
Main Achievement: We re-designed our frame in CAD so we can now start cutting on Saturday
