Day 34
- We planned for our Feb 21st Presentation
- We CADed the shooter wheel plates
- We made the Hex for our turret
- We made the mount for our motor that drives the turret
- We worked on the gear box for our collectors
- We finished the front of our safety flier
- We attached all of the belts and collectors
- We mounted the elevator and the motor to operate the elevator
- We worked on the Deans List Award
Main Achievement: WE SUBMITTED CHAIRMANS!
Day 30
Day 28
Day 21
- We tested our 2011 robot to make sure everything was working so we can do a demonstration tomorrow
- We updated the sponsors page on our website
- We repaired all of our batteries and now they have orange and blue electrical tape on them :D
- We cleaned off our back table so we can start assembling the robot
- We welded part of our frame
- We worked on milling our mecanum wheel mount plates and are about half way done
- We turned our outer shooter hubs down some more on the lathe
- We wrote the newsletter and will send out the newsletter in the morning
- We inventoried our Jaguars and found out we have way too many - a very good thing
- We tested our distance sensor and found it was very accurate
Main Achievement:We cut the metal for our ball elevator and milled it. Now our ball elevator is complete!
Day 16, Sunday
- We finished our transmission for our ball collector.
- Members of the Bit buckets ( a rookie team) came to visit our shop and we shared ideas and then we helped them with their organization.
- We glued more of the buttons together.
- We updated our news section on our website as well as other aspects of our team.
- Programmers solved their networking issue and then posted it on Chief Delphi to help the other teams in the future!
Main Achievement: We almost finished our prototype for our ball elevator so we can test it tomorrow!!
Day 10
Monday
Main Achievement: Our frame being CADed and that we know how we want to do everything, and the shooter can now hopefully shoot from anywhere.
- We finished the button design
- Website: We are working on updating our media page, and the contact page. We updated the news page. We added a page for the Arizona FIRST Student Division
- The programmers programmed a jaguar and servos so now we can control the launcher and camera.
- Programmers also started learning how to transfer data
- Our frame is framed in CAD
- We decided on motors(that we have!) and started designing the gearboxes for them and they just need to be CADed
- The Robo-knights visited us and we collaborated
Main Achievement: Our frame being CADed and that we know how we want to do everything, and the shooter can now hopefully shoot from anywhere.
Day 9
- We uploaded the News section on our website
- We did some other minor changes to the website
- We started making the mentor cards for our website
- We worked on chairmans
- The animators kept animating
- We worked on dimensions and how exactly we want to design the robot so we can CAD it tonight
- The programmers finished imaged processing and now we have the original image with a red box overlay so we have the coordinates
- The Nerds from Sierra Vista visited and we collaborated
Main Achievement: Last night members of our team went to one of our sponsors, Hanlon Engineering and started drawing up the robot using a program called Plant 3D. We now have our drive train, turret, and shooter designed but we need to make the details for everything.
